After finding a reputable spa and beauty shop or a waxing parlor, it is best that you already have yourself informed of what to expect during Brazilian waxing procedure. Wear something loose so you would not aggravate your newly waxed genital area if you are in tight jeans.

Here is the tedious procedure that you would undergo during a Brazilian wax:

1. The waxer will judge if the genital is already qualified for the Brazilian. The usual required length of hair is quarter-inch. Hence, the waxer will either trim your pubic hair or you'll be asked to just go back and wait for your pubic hair to grow.
2. Talcum powder will be generously applied to the area as this prevents the hot wax from sticking to skin.
3. The waxer will now spread the hot wax onto your skin and pubic hair. The wax must be a bit hardened before it's completely stripped of, in the opposite direction of your hair growth. Since waxing commonly starts in the front and moves systematically toward the back, you're expected to move around in all sorts of strange positions for the waxer to do his/her job.  It's really necessary to pull the pubic hairs from their roots, that's why it can definitely be painful for the first time. But after consequent waxing and stripping, the pain will gradually lessen.

6. To complete the Brazilian procedure, the waxer will apply soothing lotion or gel to the waxed area to prevent further redness, swelling or pain.
